I'm Mad Again!
An open
letter to the Star Power of Scientology
especially those that are planning to speak out
against prescription drugs. Please don’t play
God. God is already working in those peoples
lives, leave well enough alone.
I admire the fact that you have an opinion about Prescriptions and I love
that you are "MOVIE STARS", but for me and the
less lofty people please be quiet! Prescriptions
are just that, they are prescribed by usually
reputable Doctors who are honestly doing their
job. They are drugs that do a job and the job
they do provides the relief needed.
I have used prescribed medication when it was prescribed by the Doctor I
see. I used the medication and it did exactly
what I needed it to do. I was depressed and
while I was on the medication the depression
lifted, it lifted enough so I could again help
myself. Then when it was time I was taken off
the medication. If it happens again will I get
back to my Doctor? You bet and I’m sure I’ll be
back on the medication.
Drugs also provide people with difficult personalities a way to function
in life. People like you with Star Power, Shock
and Awe Power have enough credibility to pull
HUGE amounts of people away from the medication
they need to function in life. What are you
going to do for those who believe the things you
are saying? Are you going to help them with
praying? Are you going to provide for them as
they again slip in the darkness that some of
them will find themselves in? Are you going to
step into their life and give them the hand up
they need? You’re words, I pray you know this,
have the capability of wrecking ruining their
life. Hopefully you wont stand around like fish
in a fish bowl with your mouths open saying, "Oh
my." Hopefully you have enough compassion to
take the responsibility for your words and do
the work necessary to follow up.
Jesus’s words when asked what are the greatest commandments said. "You
shall love the Lord your God with all your
heart, and with all your soul, and with all your
mind. The second, you shall love your neighbor
as yourself."
Shouting your beliefs from the mountain you are on is exhilarating, it
has a rush to it, I’m sure. Shouting your
beliefs and doing nothing about the words you
are shouting is appalling. If you truly love God
than you have to love your neighbor. If you love
God than help your neighbor not hurt them more.
Family’s can be ruined because of your words and
you need to hold yourselves accountable. Are you
ready for that?
I’ve sat in Recovery meetings with others who believe as you do. I’ve
heard lofty people share their wisdom and I’ve
seen the harm caused by reckless words. I’ve
seen people take their own life because of
reckless words. The words you are spewing are
the easy way. Living with no accountability is
easy. Saying what you are saying is like a bird
flying over a crowd and relieving itself, that
bird flying has no care what happens to its
doodoo. That bird feels the need to relieve
itself, so it does. Just like the feeling you
seem to be having in public right now. Please
think before you speak. Please consult with
people who have honesty in them before you
speak. Look around you, there are people who are
laying in the ditch already, help them before
you ravage more people.
The greatest advice I can give you is this advice. "Never say anything to
make something happen."
