Hello again,

I have decided to do something a little different .  I love reading books that serve a purpose and I recently read a great one!  Below, I have written a brief review of a book that has proven to be very helpful and insightful in my daily journey.  I have also included a lovely poem, author unknown, that I find helpful when life seems difficult.  Take care of each other.

Book Review - “17 Lies That Are Holding You Back and The Truth That Will Set You Free”
Author --------    Stephen Chandler

? I really enjoy sharing insightful books that I have read with others in hopes of encouraging others to read books and help themselves.  “17 Lies...” is a very thought provoking book that makes you look at your own life and how you are living it.

Mr. Chandler’s book forces you to take a look at our own lives and the “lies” that we live.  He  considers such things as money and the belief that it solves all of  life’s problems.  He looks at age and the excuse factor that goes along with it.  He also considers the belief of self proclaimed helplessness and it’s crippling effects on our lives as a whole.  Mr. Chandler considers seventeen lies that society hides behind and why in fact, they are lies.  His explanations are thought provoking and to the point.  But he doesn’t end there.

The second half of the book explores the power that we as human beings possess over our own lives.  He states that “we are powerful” and discusses the idea of owning our lives and being accountable for ourselves and our current state of being.  Society has a tendency to blame external forces for their problems when in fact, we are the masters of our own lives.  When we overcome the lies, the truth will indeed set us free!

This is a must-read!  It is a book filled with honesty, insightfulness and self truths.  Enjoy and take care.

** Have you read anything that you would like to share?  Let me know!!
