Cup Cones

by Nan

Got kids or grandkids? Mix up some cake batter-- what the heck, use a boxed mix if you want to, but instead of pouring it into cupcake pans, fill flat-bottomed ice cream cones half-full and bake according to cupcake directions. You can place them in your paper-lined cupcake pans or stand them on a cookie sheet. Mix up some butter cream frosting (there's an easy recipe on the back of the powdered sugar box) and separate into small bowls, tinting each one with a different food coloring. Get some more small bowls and put raisins, chopped nuts, coconut, or assorted sprinkles in them, spread an old tablecloth or sheet on the table then let the kids decorate. You will have as much fun watching them, as they do creating their masterpieces!
