I heard a man share at a meeting once that he 'came to' in that state of pitiful, incomprehensible, demoralization----Texas.

This recipe can be found in cookbooks as Texas Caviar, but I changed the name. I serve it with Fritos Scoops or tortilla chips.

2 cans black-eyed peas, don't drain them
2 large avocados, diced
1 can diced tomatoes, don't drain them either
1 bunch green onions, chopped (all of them, bulb and chive-y part

As my Okie husband says, this will make you slap yer grandpappy for the last bite.
